It’s amazing to think about just how many manufactured goods are influenced and adapted from nature. Whether that means the actual design is influenced or the design of a product is modified to encorporate the natural beauty of day to day life. I’ve recently noticed that it’s becoming increasingly difficult to take a few steps without seeing a floral pattern. Clothing, blinds, embroidery, ceramics etc.

This could be that as a species we’re subconsciously attracted to the natural beauty of flowers or it could be the symbolism behind them. If you’ve recently upset the other half we usually resort to flowers and chocolate. Flowers can be sent via mail to express cheer, happiness, give thanks, apologise, encourage and console.

Perfumes are manufactured from petals, even alcoholic beverages can be created from flowers.
